To the sister that i fight when she is home and miss when she is away.
How boring childhood would have been without you?
I remember sadly watching you pack your bags to leave for school, and sadly
waiting and asking mum when you will be back. For months I waited for your
return and when you would come home. The first day was Christmas day, I would
lift you up and swear to do everything you asked me to do, and at the brake of
dawn, I will forget all the promises, and prepare for our fighting.
I knew I was always at fault, but as I got older, I realised that I enjoyed
fighting with you.
And after you would smash me to bits, you would give me food, and tell me
"Please stop looking for my trouble" I would swear I won't, with
tears in my eyes.
A sister that knows me more than I know myself, a blood that will give
everything up to make me happy, she has done it before.
Watching you run a business alongside your university studies was one of the
things that made me realise how strong you have always been.
How easily I used to give up in my dreams and how relentless you have always
been. How you have always watched over me, always ready to support and breathe
in hope when am lost.
How you gave me the best memories of a lifetime.
Encase I have never told you,
encase you have forgotten,
Happy bday
Thank you, my blood.
And
I love you my Adane
